If you are using Windows 10 please follow this method.
- Open the Remote Desktop Connection on your local machine. You can do this by searching for "Remote Desktop Connection" in the Start menu. You can see login sent to your email.
- Once connected to the remote server, use the following keyboard shortcut:
- Press Ctrl + Alt + End
- Select the option to change the password. This might be labeled as "Change a password" or similar.
- Enter the old password, and then enter the new password along with confirmation.
- Save the changes, and your password should now be updated.
- Close the Remote Desktop Connection and reconnect using the new password to confirm that the change was successful.
